Yum Yum Storage community open house
Invenergy hosted a community open house for the proposed Yum Yum Energy Storage Center at the UT Martin Somerville Center, providing local residents and stakeholders with an opportunity to learn more about the project, ask questions, and share feedback directly with the project team and technical experts. The over 30 attendees were able to view project renderings, learn how battery energy storage systems support grid reliability and energy affordability, and discuss topics including safety, landscaping and screening, emergency response coordination, and economic benefits for Fayette County.
The event reflected Invenergy’s continued commitment to transparent, community-focused engagement as development efforts continue. The project team appreciated the thoughtful conversations and feedback shared by attendees and looks forward to continuing to work with local residents, landowners, and community leaders throughout the process.
