Invenergy Meets with Fayette County Rotary Club

Alexander Forbes, Development Manager, and Eric Ivey, Community Engagement Manager, recently joined local business leaders at a Somerville Rotary Club meeting on May 18. 

During the meeting, Alexander shared an overview of the proposed 6-acre storage facility, which would be located within the existing Yum Yum Solar site, and discussed the project’s role in supporting energy reliability and local economic investment. The team also highlighted the project’s commitment to donate $1.4 million to local schools and community organizations if approved by the Fayette County Board of Zoning Appeals. 

An attendee with experience in the energy industry also voiced support for the project, describing battery storage as a proven technology needed to support future grid reliability.
